NMC Collaborates with Tapestry Opera for the Women in Musical Leadership Program

As part of our 2021-2022 concert season, NMC will partner with Tapestry Opera's Women in Musical Leadership Program. Conductors Jennifer Tung and Juliane Gallant will work with the NMC musicians for a special concert guest curated by Keiko Devaux.

The Women in Musical Leadership program is structured as a series of placements with Tapestry Opera and Partner Organizations across Canada in order to dramatically increase the Conductors’ practical experience, relationships, and skills. The program's broader mission is to help change the longstanding gender imbalance in music direction and conducting in opera and classical music in Canada.
